Here's a short resume of the rest of last week: on thursday it started snowing in Belgium (why, oh why?) and so my driving lessons were canceled. We're talking about THE DAY BEFORE THE FUCKING PERMIT. God. I was SO upset and even more stressed out than I already was…

On friday morning I had to get up at 4AM in order to practice for an hour before the exam started.
After that we (me and my instructor) drove to the exam. All of my worst fears came true when I saw my examinator. Total fuckin douche. Looking at my tat's/gauged ears as if I came from a different planet.
Turns out the guy was full of hateful remarks ("thank God we (him & my instructor)'re in the car too, at least that makes 2 normal people in the car…).
Shit. Those 40 minutes sure were the worst 40 of my entire life!
BUT. I was able to keep my cool & only made a few small mistakes… AND GOT MY LICENSE!

BOOYAH! This is a huge step for me since this means that my studio/recording service can go mobile starting january 2011! So good! More work, more money, more gear, less debts!

After my test I went (with my girlfriend ;) ) to Willem's birthday party; good food, cool people, free booze… I've seen worse! Really had a good time, though the fatigue accumulated during this week had me exhausted.

On saturday I had a pretty relaxed day, given the fact that I didn't get any sleep on friday either I decided to chill out and limit my activities to playing the xbox & sleeping. Lazy days are the coolest.

Don't seem to remember much about sunday so…

Today I finished some mixes, went to school & now I'll be off to bed in no time. Got some recordings planned for tomorrow, superstoked…

In one fucking day and I still can't seem to find one single minute to relax.

I need to get my shit together, start working harder and being better at all sorts of things, but I can't even find the time to sit down and chill, so my guess is that my current situation won't get better any time soon.

Got my driver's license test scheduled for this Friday and I'm SO stressed. Really wish someone would just give me the damn permit without me having to go through all of this trouble…

Other than that my constant lack of money is being a pain in the ass, sleep still is pretty rare given the fact that my neighbors seem to act like cavemen and don't feel like sleeping 'till 3AM each and every day, weight of the world still feels heavy and sometimes I don't even know what I am doing, where I'm going or how to get where I want to go.

"Hard work always pays off in the end".

I fucking hope so.
I really do.
But until the end comes swinging around, I'll be working my ass off 7 days a week.

Neglecting this blog? NO! I've just been SOOOOOOOOO busy... So I guess I owe you a quick fill-in on what's happened over the past two weeks :)

Last week (hmn, two weeks ago actually...) I had my friends of The Strzebonsky Noisescene over at my place for 4 days. We played a show together & I've recorded their first CD/EP which sounds AWESOME. Not only because of the fact that my mixing and recording skills have drastically improved since I recorded my bands album but also because they're SUCH a great band.
I'll have that shit blasting on my MP3 all day and never get tired of it.
The show itself was organised by Geoff, being a cool dude as he is :)
It involved underwear, lots of booze and some super rad moments. As I like it.

The rest of the week I spent tweaking the recordings and mixing, using my new plugins (SO GOOD.).I really feel like the more I work the more I grow towards opening a full blown studio, which should be in 2 years.

This weekend I went to the Imperial Never Say Die tour in Leuven, had a blast. It was so good seeing my boys in Your Demise again, Stu really is one of the kindest people I've ever met and it's so cool they've remained down-to-earth given the massive succes of their new album. Bought one of those varsity jackets I've been wanting for so long :)Every YD show I've been to is just mental. They just leave you waiting for the next one. Word is they'd be coming back with Break Even & Stick To Your Guns for a European tour which would be SO cool. Other bands on the tour were Emmure (sweeeeeeeeeet), Comeback Kid (expected much, got even more), War From a Harlots Mouth ( :) ), Parkway Drive ( :( ) & We Came As Romans ( :( ).

This week I'll be practising my balls of for my drivers lisence, got the practical test scheduled for november 26th and I'm already stressed out of my mind.

There will be more posts following, I'll update on a more regular basis, my schedule was just so please forgive me for the silent treatment I've been giving you for the past 2 weeks...

I was on my way home when, as usual I went past the buildings where all of the gouvernment officials work. When I took a quick turn to the right and went into some small street this dude freaked out and started staring at me as if my cock had fallen from the sky and crushed his skull.

Now, at the time I didn't know why he was staring, so I started thinking about what it could have been that drew his attention to me. Maybe I was looking good, which is quite possible when rocking a Trash Talk shirt, a pair of vans and a pair of worn Levis. But obviously this dude wasn't impressed by that. He might have reacted weird because of the fact that I'm one of the only dudes in Brussels that has a moustache at my young age. He might dislike the plugs in my ears. My haircut maybe?

But when he walked by I suddenly knew.
My nose is seriously fucked up and I wouldn't be able to tell you the smell of a monkeys ass from a pizza but if there's one odor I do know it is the smell of weed.

To make a long story short: dude is hiding, smoking weed in alley becaus his nine to five job frustrates him and the fact that he probably has some ugly ass wife waiting for him at home with two kids who don't resemble him aren't helping at all.
WHY HIDE? Why act like you're smoking crack cocaine whilst sucking shots of vodka of a BBW's bellybutton?

Hell, that ain't the life I'd like to live. I'll just sit my ass down, chill, smoke weed after a day where I worked my ass off for myself, not trying to please someone else and feel depressed all day everyday because life isn't as good as I hoped it was.
